Arnold Schwarzenegger set for $200m Chinese epic


According to The Daily Mail, Schwarzenegger will also produce the movie which will start production in March 2017 for a 2019 release. The newspaper states that the film will focus on Sanxingdui ruins which are located in Guanghan City. The ruins are believed to be remnants of the Shu Kingdom that suddenly disappeared 3,000 years ago.

Schwarzenegger says that the film would be an international story, presented in 3D, in order to introduce a global audience to the culture of Sanxingdui.

The film has an initial investment of $200 million which suggests that it may end up costing more. The project is yet to have a director named, but considering its scale and the fact that it shoots in just five months, expect one to be revealed soon.
